- Activated 15 April 1941 at Camp Beauragard, Louisiana
- Redesignated 1 January 1942 as the 143d Armored Signal Company
- Inactivated 10 November 1945 in Germany
- Activated 30 July 1948 at Fort Knox, Kentucky
- Reorganized and redesignated 1 October 1957 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 143d Signal Battalion
- Inactivated in Germany
