IT IS OUR INTENT TO PLACE ON THIS SITE THE NAMES AND FINAL RESTING PLACES OF ALL THOSE WHO GAVE THE LAST TRUE MEASURE FOR FREEDOM DURING THE GREAT CRUSADE TO FREE EUROPE. 

THIS WILL NOT BE AN EASY TASK.  EVEN ALMOST 60 YEARS LATER THERE IS MUCH EMOTION ATTACHED TO THESE MEN AND WHAT THEY DID.

TODAY, "ADOPTED" BY INDIVIDUAL CITIZENS OF THE EUROPEAN NATIONS IN WHICH THE UNITED STATES MEMORIAL CEMETERIES ARE LOCATED, EACH SPEARHEAD SOLDIER'S FINAL BIVOUAC IS LOVINGLY CARED FOR. 

THEY DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF THEM AND THEIR DEEDS OF VALOR AND COURAGE...SPEARHEAD!
