Safe Christmas to all and off the roads on New Year's Eve. Fellows recall how cold it was but wouldn't trade it for the world. I recall many a time with the serious hawk out I would have traded for about anything other than bone cold. But, darn it, Spring and Summers were grand. Hoch die Tassens, Speedy 4 Bob LaMascus.

As I looked through some of the entries I came upon Posted for the 509 OD. One caught my eye as to being the first female at Armstrong Barracks, but infact there was one before her. In 74 the 122Mt Bn sent a female to the 509th and Cpt Howell and 1SG McBride were not too happy about it. She ended up working in the Orderly Room, left got married and returned with her husband. Had a Maint Officer named CW3 Tuttle and Shop Foreman SFC Sias who refused to have her work down at the PLL Shop. I was the Lead Radar Tech for the FAAR Systems for 3/61ADA. Does anyone remember the twin McKinney brothers James and Gene. One was in 3/61ADA and the other 3/12Cav. Gene went on to become the 10th SMA. Before we were married my wife babysitted for both of the families. Want to talk more, hit my email 24-7. Miss the days...:) Me

I came across this website and found the page of Augie Saurino. I mentioned to my dad Augie Saurinos family wants to know what happend at Graffewoehner Germany 1960 when the artilery round hit D Troop. My dad said well "He was my dad's gunner in tank and he was with Augie round the tent" But I cannot get ahold of Augie's family to tell them exactly what happened.

Like the looks of the new site! If I may critigue a bit, I miss seeing the unit/years included with member remarks. Guestbook entry fields could use a little more definition as to what exactly you're looking for. Anyway, always appreciate the opportunity to check in to see who posts. Thanks for all the good work you folks do!

Hey You Guys,
I lived at Drake Kasernen until Rae Ann and I were married in Switzerland. I worked at Drake, doing officer's personal actions until the office made the move to Edward's Kaseren, renovated, and occupied 'The Barn'.

I was approved an 'over sea's out' and Rae and I spent the summer of 73 island hopping in the Mediterranean. While living in Frankfurt, we loved going to concerets and spending time with friends at each other's houses.

Possible common friends?:
P&C Wartel
S&SJones
E Giles
C Christenson
M Saroca
D Leigh
G (Smitty) Smith
A Stevenson
The Powells

Any way, if anyone out there remembers the good times we had, with me or Rae and I, take the time to respond to our email and say Hi!.

Thanks,

Rick & Rae Ann Ness
