Once the richest places on earth, Virginia City, Nevada is perfect for people with a passion for history, imagination and truly unforgettable fun. Your tour bus will pick you up at the hotel in Reno and transport you back in time to historic Virginia City, where a young newspaper reporter named Mark Twain got his start. Once you arrive you will have ample time to explore some of these attractions: historic mines, mansions built by mine-owners and  supervisors, old-time shops and gambling halls, and the old red light district. Your day of touring historic Virginia City will include a voucher for your choice of one of these additional  related activities; the Ponderosa Mine Tour, The Way It Was Museum, or the Trolley tour, transportation, and lunch.

After departing Reno by bus, you will arrive at the dock of the M.S. Dixie in Zephyr Cove, Nevada. You will be welcomed aboard this famous steamboat and cruise along the Southern shoreline of Lake Tahoe on your way to historic Emerald Bay. Three and one-half hour dinner/dance cruise with a live band. While cruising you enjoy dinner (your choice from four terrific entrees) and beverages, as well as unforgettable twilight scenery. Your tour on the M.S. Dixie will include transportation, the scenic evening cruise, and a fabulous dinner.
