Coleman Kaserne - Gelnhausen, Germany

Like most former 3d Armored Division posts in the German countryside, Coleman Kaserne was returned to the German government not long after the Division was inactivated.  Several of the former brigade posts have housed refugees and displaced people.  Coleman has had its share of transient folks since 1994.  It was from here that thousands of American soldiers over the four decades of its use by the Division poured forth on early morning alerts, NATO ORE's (no-notice operational readiness evaluations), road marches to Grafenwöhr, Hohenfels,  and REFORGER.
