Comments: :  I spent about 8 1/2 years as a "SPEARHEADER", 81-83 at "the Rock", B 2/33 as a Tiger. After a two year break in service I returned to Gelnhausen in 1985 with 1/33 AR.(Men of War) Went to Desert Storm as D Co. 3/8 Cav. Master Gunner/D-66 Gunner, PCS'd in 91. RIF'd in 96. Now I run U-Coft's(Gunnery Simulators) for the Tankers at Camp Casey, Korea. So I still run into some of the gang. Glad to see the site, I'll spread the word.

Comments:  I was stationed at "The Rock" from 4/72 to 9/74. I'm amazed to see Ayers Kaserne looks a lot like I remember way back in 1972. There were 3 battalions of armor at Ayers; 2/33 Armor( Tigers),3/33 Armor(Pickles), & 2/32 Armor. We also had an infantry battalion, but I forget the unit. This is really cool! I'd like to come back for a visit!

Comments:  4/67 AR was one of three (the others being 2-67 AR "Dukes" and 54th FSB) units to be re-assigned from 3rd BDE to "Ready First" for the final Camp Doha (Kuwait City) mission. We were honored to be a part of two famous Spearhead brigades, but it was a sad moment to see the Thunder Brigade return to Germany without the "BANDITS!"
